If our gospel be hid… A Cry from Katungu, Gombe State "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost" (2 Corinthians 4:3). In the vast, underserved Katungu region of Gombe State, thousands suffer in silence—forgotten, neglected, and deprived of even the most basic healthcare. Here, mothers watch helplessly as their children succumb to preventable diseases, the elderly endure pain without relief, and young lives are cut short for lack of medical attention. The need is urgent, the suffering is real, and the call is clear.

The RCN Mission Hospital Makurdi, in strategic partnership with United Vessels of Love (U-VOL), has successfully concluded the 2025 ValueHer Initiative Training, a two-day, high-intensity, hands-on programme designed to equip frontline maternal-health workers with the skills and confidence needed to save the lives of mothers and newborns across Benue State and beyond.
