If our gospel be hid… A Cry from Katungu, Gombe State
"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost" (2 Corinthians 4:3).
In the vast, underserved Katungu region of Gombe State, thousands suffer in silence—forgotten, neglected, and deprived of even the most basic healthcare. Here, mothers watch helplessly as their children succumb to preventable diseases, the elderly endure pain without relief, and young lives are cut short for lack of medical attention. The need is urgent, the suffering is real, and the call is clear.
Will we turn away, or will we be the hands and feet of Jesus to this forgotten land?
We at RCN Medical Missions have been called to this mission field not for personal reward, but to please Jesus. Our motto remains:
“Arise, go, give, fast, and pray. The reward is not our aim, the goal is to please Jesus.”
A Kingdom Invitation: A Land for Healing
Like the Macedonian call in Acts 16:9, the people of Katungu cry out: “Come over… and help us.” Even their leaders recognize the need for intervention. The Chief of the area has extended an invitation offering land for the establishment of a health post that will serve as a beacon of hope, a place of healing, and a tangible expression of Christ’s love.
But we cannot do this alone. We need you.
The Heart of Jesus for the Sick and Needy
Jesus said:
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took me in, I was sick and you looked after me…" (Matthew 25:35-36).
To give to this mission is to give directly to Christ Himself. Every medicine, every treatment, every life saved is an act of worship, a testimony that His love knows no bounds.
Will you answer the call?
How You Can Help
- Pray for the people of Katungu, that their suffering will be met with healing.
- Give to support medical supplies, equipment, and the building of the health post.
- Go-if God has laid it on your heart to serve, join us in this mission of mercy.
- Fast as a sacrifice, interceding for these souls who have no voice.
A Harvest for Eternity
We do not seek earthly rewards, but Jesus has promised:
"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom" (Luke 6:38).
Your gift today could be the difference between life and death for someone in Katungu. It could mean medicine for a sick child, treatment for a suffering mother, or hope for an entire generation.
The fields are white for harvest, but the labourers and resources are few (Luke 10:2).
Will you partner with us to bring light where darkness prevails?
Will you give so that Christ’s love is not hidden from those who need it most?
Join us. The people of Katungu are waiting. Jesus is waiting.
