Across North-Central Nigeria, there are pastors, missionaries and Christian workers who once stood at the frontlines of hope, preaching Christ, comforting the bereaved, praying for the sick and carrying the burdens of entire communities.
Then violence came.
Some lost their homes.
Some lost their churches and livelihoods.
Some were injured.
Some lost loved ones.
Some now struggle to feed, educate and provide healthcare for their children.
The hands that once lifted others are now themselves crying out to be lifted.
This is the burden behind the BARNABAS RESTORATIVE INITIATIVE (BRI) of RCN Medical Missions.
BRI seeks to identify and support displaced and crisis-affected clergy and their families through healthcare, psychosocial rehabilitation, essential welfare support, children's education, livelihood restoration and pathways towards rebuilding dignified, sustainable lives.
We believe the Church must not forget her wounded servants.
The bible says “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ’’ (Galatians 6:2).
Today, we are asking Christians, churches, ministries, organisations, businesses and compassionate people everywhere:
Will you become a Barnabas to one wounded family?
Your gift can put food on a table.
Your gift can provide essential medicines.
Your gift can keep a displaced minister's child in school.
Your gift can help restore a livelihood.
Your gift can tell a weary servant of God:
“YOU HAVE NOT BEEN FORGOTTEN.”
They carried others when they were strong.
Now, in their season of adversity, let us carry them.
